This scholarship is for new students only, meaning students starting a new degree at DUT.

HSK certificates are valid for 2 years. Master’s and PhD applicants without a certificate may be tested by interview or written test.

🎒 Bachelor’s Program
- DUT online application form: filled in on the DUT application system.
- DUT President Scholarship Application Form (Attachment 1).
- Notarized high school diploma, or a studying certificate if you are still a student.
- High school transcripts for all semesters, sealed by your school.
- Language certificate: IELTS/TOEFL/Duolingo, or HSK.
- Study plan: in English or Chinese, at least 600 words.
- One recommendation letter from your high school principal or teacher, signed and including their email and phone number.
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form, completed in English (valid for 6 months).
- Blood test report covering HIV, Syphilis/VDRL, HBsAg and HCV.
- Passport photo page plus one blank visa page (valid after September 2027).
- Non-criminal record (valid for 6 months). If you don’t have it yet, sign DUT’s No Criminal Record Commitment form for now.
- Other: visa copy (if in China), one photo (3 × 4 cm), two of your own artworks (fine arts applicants), and the guardian documents (if under 18).
🎓 Master’s & PhD Programs
- DUT online application form: filled in on the DUT application system.
- DUT President Scholarship Application Form (Attachment 6).
- Notarized highest degree certificate. PhD applicants need both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Current students need a studying certificate.
- Academic transcripts from Bachelor’s onwards, sealed by your university.
- Study plan / research proposal in English or Chinese, at least 1,000 words, signed by your DUT supervisor.
- Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors at your previous university.
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form, completed in English (valid for 6 months).
- Blood test report covering HIV, Syphilis/VDRL, HBsAg and HCV.
- Passport photo page plus one blank visa page (valid after September 2027).
- Language certificate: IELTS/TOEFL/Duolingo, or HSK.
- Non-criminal record (valid for 6 months), or the temporary commitment form.
- Other: acceptance letter from a DUT supervisor (optional but recommended), employment certificate (if working), visa copy (if in China), and one photo (3 × 4 cm).
- Documents that don’t meet the requirements will be rejected.
- Scan documents 2–12 and upload them to the DUT online system.
- Documents not in English or Chinese need a notarized translation.
- Your medical form is invalid if any page, your photo, the stamp across the photo, or the doctor’s signature and hospital stamp is missing.
📝 How to Apply (Step by Step)
- Choose your program from DUT’s 2027 program lists (Chinese-taught or English-taught).
- Master’s/PhD: contact a supervisor on the DUT faculty website and ask for an acceptance letter (optional but helpful).
- Download and fill in the DUT President Scholarship Application Form.
- Apply online at iso.dlut.edu.cn and select the program “Scholarship”.
- Upload all your documents and submit.
- Save your application number. If no number appears, your application was not submitted, so check it again.
