The Tianjin University (TJU) CSC Scholarship 2027 is now open. This fully funded Chinese Government Scholarship (High-Level Postgraduate Program, Type B) is for international students applying for Master’s and PhD programs at one of China’s oldest and top-ranked universities.
You get free tuition, free accommodation, medical insurance and a monthly stipend of up to 3,500 RMB. All Master’s and PhD programs are open.

✅ Eligibility for the TJU CSC Scholarship
- A non-Chinese citizen with a valid passport. Former Chinese citizens must meet the Ministry of Education rules (Document No. 12, 2020).
- Master’s: a Bachelor’s degree, and under 35 years old.
- PhD: a Master’s degree, and under 40 years old.
- Of good character, in good health, and willing to follow Chinese laws and TJU rules.

📄 Documents Required
Upload these to both the CSC portal and the TJU application system:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree certificates (original or notarized scans). If you haven’t graduated yet, submit a pre-graduation certificate.
- Bachelor’s and Master’s transcripts (original or notarized scans). Final-year students can submit their current transcripts.
- Passport photo page (valid after September 2027).
- Language certificate: IELTS, TOEFL, HSK or an English instruction certificate.
- Study experience resume on TJU’s template, starting from high school, with no time gaps.
- TJU Professor Acceptance Form. If you get one, you must upload it.
- Study or research plan on TJU’s template, in English or Chinese, at least 1,000 words. If you have a supervisor, they must sign it.
- Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, on TJU’s template.
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form, done after 30 September 2026 (valid for 6 months).
- Visa page and a good-conduct certificate from your current university (only if you are studying in China now).
- Non-criminal record issued within the last 6 months. Fresh graduates can submit a good-conduct certificate from their university.
- Published papers or acceptance letters: required for PhD, optional for Master’s.
- Architecture applicants: an e-portfolio and a video introduction.
Documents not in English or Chinese must be uploaded with a notarized translation.
📝 How to Apply for the Tianjin University CSC Scholarship
- Find a supervisor (strongly recommended). Contact TJU professors in your field and ask for the TJU Professor Acceptance Form.
- Apply on the CSC portal at CampusChina.org. Choose Type B and enter the TJU agency number 10056.
- Download your CSC Application Form after you submit.
- Register on the TJU application system at tju.at0086.cn/student. Fill in your details and upload the CSC form and all your documents.
- Submit both applications before 15 January 2027.
- Check your email every day. TJU sends interview invitations by email, and if you miss the interview, your application is cancelled.

⚠️ Important Rules
- Be honest about past study in China. Hiding it can cancel your admission.
- No double scholarships. You can’t hold the CSC scholarship together with another Chinese government or TJU scholarship. If you hide one, you must return the money and you’re banned for 3 years.
- TJU may ask for original or notarized paper copies of your documents to verify them. Fake documents mean disqualification.
